Blindfolded

Closed eyes 

Ears open 

The words that were spoken left her breathless 

Feeling less stress & more blessed 

Because the man that she feigned for finally admitted that he craved more

Craved her mind, her love and her presence  

Softly , barely audible , he whispered 

“Forever and always”

She knew she would then be the one he would see after long days

Blindfolded 

She laid … Thinking about all the days he expressed his love through various gestures 

But she could not see it because she was 

Blindfolded

thinking there’s no way he could be talking to me or maybe he’s a flirt we’ll just wait and see

But as time passed , and feelings grew …

She didn’t know what to do 

With them both beating around the bush 

It left them both on ssssshhuussshhh

Today is the day he spoke those forbidden words

Took the blindfolds off so she could see how great of a man he was 

Because he knew… that she had been hurt several times in the past & he couldn’t stand to see a beautiful woman soul sore 

He took her , molded her , and extracted the queen out of her 

Because she was blindfolded she never looked at herself in the mirror seeing her beauty

love… beauty…faithfulness….

the words he spoke she never heard before because every man that she had been with left her mind torn

they found the meaning of love, not just An intense feeling of deep affection, but that feeling when you know you’ve met the ying to your yang 

they pieced each other together , complete, something neither had ever felt.

The blindfold was only their eyes closed because they were afraid of the truth
